The Huntsville Madison County Chamber of Commerce celebrated businesses that create an excellent workplace culture through employee engagement, strong leadership and excellent communication on April 30, 2019 during their annual awards luncheon for BEST PLACES TO WORK. Cortina Solutions attended as a contender for the 2019 Best Places to Work Award. “Cortina would like to thank the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber for its consideration and congratulate all of our fellow contenders for the award. event and the NASA Marshall Small Business Alliance
Cortina Solutions proudly exhibited during the Catalyst Center for Business & Entrepreneurship’s HUBZone Accelerator event – “Doing Business with the HUBZones”. Cortina CEO Edwina Musante, serves as the Chairperson of the HUBZone Accelerator, welcomed participants and shared information about the HUBZone Accelerator. The premise for the event was to demonstrate that Doing Business with HUBZone Companies helps alleviate difficulty by highlighting and introducing area HUBZone companies to prime contractors, contracting officers, program managers, suppliers, and federal agencies to learn more about their capabilities.

Cortina’s CEO Edwina Musante serves as the Chairperson of the HUBZone Accelerator and led the Quarterly Meeting. The guest speaker was Emily Harman, Director, Office of Small Business Programs, U.S. Department of the Navy.
Cortina’s CEO Edwina Musante was awarded the 2019 Female Entrepreneur of the Year
The 4th Annual Entrepreneur Awards recognizes and honors the skill and courage exhibited by entrepreneurs to develop a business from an idea. Awards are given for five different categories: Entrepreneur of the Year, Intrapreneur of the Year, Female Entrepreneur of the Year, Creative Entrepreneur of the Year, and Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year. Cortina’s CEO, Edwina Musante was chosen as Female Entrepreneur of the Year during INNOVATE HUNTEVILLE Week at Campus 805. The Catalyst will submit Cortina’s CEO Edwina Musante to the Small Business Administration as Small Business Person of the Year for the State of Alabama, which will be awarded early 2020.
US Navy Seaport-NxG Award
Cortina Solutions was awarded a Multiple Award Contract Vehicle known as SeaPort-NxG, which has a five-year base and a five-year option. This new version of its massive SeaPort contract for professional services that dates back nearly two decades and pulls in $5 billion a year in task orders. The work encompasses engineering and program management support services. Cortina looks forward to working with our team and winning task orders in support of the US NAVY!
Cortina supports the Space & Missile Defense (SMD) Symposium
Cortina Solutions Participated in the Space & Missile Defense Symposium in August 2018 for the third year in a row. The SMD Symposium is the leading educational, professional development and networking event in the space and missile defense community. The symposium is widely attended by leaders and professionals from the United States and our allies around the world.
Booz Allen Hamilton Subcontract
Cortina was awarded a subcontract under Booz Allen Hamilton TACOM Strategic Service Solutions - Knowledge Based Services (TS3 - KBS) The KBS MA IDIQ contract suite will allow for the procurement of services which primarily relate to tasks involving program or project management and administration, and the furnishing of professional advice or assistance, engineering and technical services, logistics management services, management support services, and professional services. This SOW is not intended to cover enterprise level information technology (IT) services identified under the KBS Portfolio Group. Programmatic, technical, or functional support of IT services may be procured under this contract suite, subject to the requirement specified in the individual TO.
